July 2024
Dear Member,
We are writing to you today to outline our membership structure for the new season ahead 2024/2025
The good news is that we have decided to retain our membership base rates. This is the seventh year we have managed to maintain these rates with no increases – a real challenge over recent years but our focus remains on a non-profit approach to running a community club for the community
You will be aware we have begun building a new state of the art astro facility which we hope will be ready in October 2024. While a very scary step to take financially for our club we felt it necessary in light of the changing weather patterns and the subsequent impact particularly on underage training and matches
To assist us repay the significant debt that this is attracting the club will need to introduce a modest astro levy for a period of time as below
Under 5 – Under 10 – Membership - 60 euro per child – Astro levy – 15 euro (Max per family 30 euro)
Under 11 – Under 18 – Membership - 120 euro per child –Astro levy – 20 euro (Max per family 40)
Max Underage family membership for children – 200 euro plus 40 euro Astro levy (applies to families with 2 or more children)
Adults - Membership - 150 euro per player – Astro levy – 40 euro
All can be paid by installments through clubzap

Why is an astro levy needed?
• The club have taken on board a significant bank loan to assist pay for the project
• The project is needed to ensure that the current pattern of training and match cancellation stops particularly for our underage cohort
What are the benefits of this project to members?
• An increase in training and play time for all our members – no cancelled training or matches due to weather – this represents better value for your membership fees
• Better quality training for all age groups – a large astro area means many more aspects of the game can be practiced
• The club can create more teams if the interest exists – by not relying on a grass pitch it increases club capacity. For example, this year we hope to reintroduce a lady’s teams
• Our local primary schools will be offered daytime use of the astro so that the project benefits the entire community
